Exactly Why You
Should Hire Me

I am on the open job market after being forced to take a small career break during a time that numerous surgeries left me unable to walk. I've learned some things about myself that only a serious health problem can. I have now been blessed with the gift of knowing what a blessing functional legs are. I can't tell you how nice it is to do normal things. Being on the hunt for a job used to be an exhausting chore - now it's invigorating!  I've never been more happy. I've never been more ready for something new. I'm grateful to be getting back into the swing of "normal" life again.

During my time with my former employer I took over a social media ad account that was already running at a fairly large scale with a six digit budget. The very first month I was put in sole charge of the account, we had the best performance month on record, before I doubled those results within two months. I grew net revenue from social media ads by 900%  in just a year solely as a 1 man team. There were no new products or other major changes in the sales funnel to explain it. It was because I spent months reading up on the past 150+ years of direct response marketing. It was because I loved my work, and I had a talent for it. I later earned myself a promotion into a managerial position tasked with teaching a small my system.

I do not say these things to brag. I say this because my future boss might be reading this right now. I know there is somebody out there looking for somebody exactly like me. I know for a fact there are frustrated hiring managers out there tired of employees who spew a bunch of fancy jargon, pretend to care about their work, pretend to care about their coworkers and direct reports, and at the end of the day aren't really competent at what they do, and definitely aren't committed to it.

This message will scare some hiring teams away, but it will attract the right ones. Fit is everything to me now, and I won't find it pretending to be a perfect match for every potential job out there.

Here's who I am, and who I am not:

I am not a figurehead that needs to run 4 meetings a day to appear busy. That doesn't do any actual good for team performance. My previous team worked harder and smarter. This was partially because I treated them just as I had always wanted to be treated while doing my best to foster a truly positive environment - but mostly because it was in their DNA already, just as it is in mine.

If you want somebody that truly takes pride in what they do, explains things so that everybody can understand, and leads others as fellow human beings - backed on a history of delivering real results - I'm your guy. I'm happy to share a long referral list of colleagues that can vouch for that.

At the end of the day most employers simply want a person that is reliable, committed, competent, and easy to work with. I can say with confidence, I check all of those boxes.

I'm prepared to bring those exact same results to you. I can promise you I'll bring a sharp mind to work. I promise to take pride in always looking for ways to improve. In my experience good things tend to happen over the long run with that mindset.

In return I have a simple shortlist of must-haves for my next career stop. I need a truly positive environment of coworkers and higher ups, not just one that's typed up on a company values sheet. I need to be managed in a way that looks at one simple question, are you putting in quality work?

I'm ready for something new, and I'm open to all possibilities. My talents in performance marketing are transferable to many roles. I just know there's an employer out there that is a perfect match! And that's what I'm truly looking for.

With Love,

Tyler
