Event Coordination and Management
Providing a good time for 2000+ people takes weeks and months of planning, budgeting, and coordinating. Physically managing the event day-of means early mornings and late nights. From set up to clean up, I made sure a Giant Eagle party goes off without a hitch!
I helped direct and manage all Giant Eagle community and sports based events. None bigger than our Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement week parties! During the week we hosted large events 3 consecutive days in a row. Every detail needs to be accounted for and confirmed. This requires an immense degree of coordination, interpersonal communication, and organization.
While enjoying an adult beverage, dancing to a live band, and eating a delicious meal may seem like a simple recipe for success, there is a ton that goes into these events!
While the actual task list is much bigger, please see some examples below on how I've helped get our events up and running.
-Developing a themed menu that works with our budget and the needs of our guest
-Hiring our catering crew, security cleaning crew, and prepping crew
-Obtaining certificate of insurance and meeting food safety inspection standards
-Renting/purchasing tables, linens, lighting, decorations, and floral
-Securing a second power source in case of electricity problems.
-Create event floor and decoration layout
-Manage prep teams of 20+ helping set up.
